The Curse of Pigeon Lake

So, The Wizard That Was Or Was Not went well and the 2011 Edmonton Fringe is over and done.

I ended up 'stage managing' (half actor, half SM role...very interesting) a show called RISK by Michael Davidson in the very first Nanaimo Fringe Festival... complete with our special edition, "RISQUE" in which we tried to make money doing a much more "R" rated version of the show...even though I kept all my clothes on. I did kick Mike D. in the balls three times.

Click here for a Vue review of RISK for more information.

And now I am in full-time rehearsals for The Curse of Pigeon Lake at the Capitol Theatre at Fort Edmonton Park. Making money at what I love with wonderfully talented castmates and crew, and at my favourite place in Edmonton! Couldn't ask for more!

The Curse of Pigeon Lake
Written by Nick Green
Music and Lyrics by Joel Crichton
Directed by Amanda Bergen
Stage Managed by Jennifer Best
Costume and Design by Lynn Goodacre

Starring:

Alyssa Billingsley
Tim Cooper
Byron Martin
Joelle Prefontaine

Yep. And then next week, I'm back with Kompany Family Theatre doing In True Pirate Fashion.  Except, as I will rant about later, provincial governments across Canada seem to be cutting education funding to the public school systems...which, in my opinion, is one of the stupidest things you can do. But anyway, my point is, most schools don't have the budget to afford to bring in outside performances and we don't have very many shows booked on our school tour yet. Sadly enough.
